High-tenacity polyamide (nylon) braid without core. Ø 6 mm, 16 carriers, 100 m. For joining safety nets. Breaking strength 765 kg, EN 1263-1 standard.

The polyamide multifilament braid has a satin finish. It is very soft, highly resistant to tension and abrasion. It has a high elongation of +/- 20%, allowing it to absorb shocks. Polyamide is difficult to ignite.

This high-tenacity braid is particularly used for safety nets thanks to its shock absorption and flexibility. It complies with EN 1263-1.

What is the core of a braid?

The core of a braid is the cord inside the cover that gives it its round shape and strength. Independent from the outer cover, it can be removed manually. The core can be braided or parallel.

Parallel core: made of aligned fibers. Not spliceable.
Braided core: made of braided fibers. A braid with a braided core is called a “double braid”. Can be spliced.
A braid without a core is called a “hollow braid”.

Nylon is resistant to mites, bacteria, strong alkalis (ammonia, soda) and bleaching agents.

It is sensitive to mineral, formic acids, concentrated acetic acids and some phenols.

Bien que ça ne soit probablement pas l'application la plus recherché des utilisateurs sur ce site, cette corde est une option idéale pour du shibari. Elle est bon marché, douce, se découpe facilement, ne possède pas d'âme pouvant représenter un danger. C'est la meilleure option en nylon que j'ai pu trouver en ligne.
