High-strength nylon braid – Parallel core
Choose the desired length:
100 m: one full 100-meter coil
By the meter: custom length, in one continuous piece
Our high-tenacity nylon (polyamide) braid with parallel core is a versatile, stable, and durable rope, ideal for nautical applications and various fastening uses. Its single braid construction and parallel core provide excellent shape retention and high abrasion resistance.
- Composition: 100% polyamide (nylon)
- Construction: single braid with parallel core
- Color: white
- Length: 100 m spool and by the meter (from 5 mm to 12 mm)
Uses:
- Nautical use: all-purpose halyard, messenger lines
- Small lashings, bindings, light mooring
- Various fixings, DIY, assembly, workshops
Benefits:
- Strong and stable rope, suitable for regular use
- High resistance to tension and abrasion
- Flexible and easy to handle
- Good durability in humid environments
Choosing the right diameter:
The larger the diameter, the stronger the braid. Select your Ø according to the intended use (messenger line, lashing, fastening, halyard).
| Diameter | Length | Color | Breaking strength (kg) |
| Ø 2 mm | 100 m | White / Natural | 270 |
| Ø 3 mm | 100 m | White / Natural | 400 |
| Ø 4 mm | 100 m | White / Natural | 450 |
| Ø 5 mm | 100 m | White / Natural | 700 |
| Ø 6 mm | 100 m | White / Natural | 1300 |
| Ø 8 mm | 100 m | White / Natural | 2100 |
| Ø 10 mm | 100 m | White / Natural | 2400 |
What is the core of a braid?
The core of a braid is the cord inside the cover that gives it its round shape and strength. Independent from the outer cover, it can be removed manually. The core can be braided or parallel.
- Parallel core: made of aligned fibers. Not spliceable.
- Braided core: made of braided fibers. A braid with a braided core is called a “double braid”. Can be spliced.
- A braid without a core is called a “hollow braid”.

Anti UV treatment
To stay intact in the face of prolonged exposure to the sun, our synthetics are treated to resist UV.
Better resistance to weather
Rain, snow, sea water... Our synthetic ropes are designed to last in the face of moisture and corrosion.
Longer life
The synthetic rope is suitable for long-term decoration of your exterior. You can choose the synthetic hemp rope for a natural effect guaranteed.
The nylon rope has the highest elasticity and excellent shock absorption capacity. It is the rope with the best breaking strength.
Caution: nylon loses about 20% of its resistance when wet.
Nylon does not rot in water but it absorbs quickly and loses about 20% of its resistance when wet. It is non-floating. It is resistant to moisture.
Density: 1.14
Nylon has excellent UV resistance. It is ideal for long-term outdoor exposure.
Nylon is resistant to mites, bacteria, strong alkalis (ammonia, soda) and bleaching agents.
It is sensitive to mineral, formic acids, concentrated acetic acids and some phenols.
- Critical temperature: 160°C
- Melting point: 260°C
- Smell of celery with flame, white smoke
- Hardly flammable, does not maintain combustion
A Garcette is a small synthetic rope with a diameter generally less than 5mm used to do all kinds of small work on a ship.
Historically, "halyard" is the maritime name for a braided rope generally used to hoist a barge, horn or sail.
A pre-stretched cord has undergone a factory pre-stretch process to greatly limit its elongation during use.
Thermofixing is a pre-stretch performed at 100°C to improve compaction and stabilization of the fibers. This process improves the mechanical properties and life of a rope. It is reserved for high-end ropes for demanding uses.
