Heavy-duty suspension kit for attaching a swing to a tree branch. The kit includes 2 ready-to-use suspension straps with stainless steel thimbles and carabiners.

Advantages

  • Complete, ready-to-use kit
  • 5 lengths available
  • Excellent resistance to UV rays and moisture
  • Stainless steel thimbles and carabiners
  • Heavy-duty reinforced stitching, made using the same process as ropes designed for lifting applications in the construction industry
  • Excellent durability outdoors

Which length should I choose?

The length of the kit should be selected according to the circumference of the branch where you wish to install your swing.

Branch circumference Kit length
20 to 39 cm 70 cm
40 to 64 cm 85 cm
65 to 94 cm 115 cm
95 to 129 cm 150 cm
130 to 154 cm 180 cm

How do I install my suspension kit?

The suspension strap is wrapped directly around the branch. The swing is then attached to the stainless steel carabiner.

  • Choose a branch suitable for installing a swing.
  • Measure the circumference of the branch.
  • Choose the corresponding kit length from the table above.
  • Wrap the suspension straps around the branch.
  • Attach the swing ropes to the stainless steel carabiners.

The kit allows you to install a swing on a tree branch without drilling or permanently fixing anything to the tree.

The stated breaking load applies to the rope only and does not constitute the maximum working load of the kit. Before installation, check the strength and condition of the branch.

Safety precautions

This kit can remain in very good condition for many years if it is correctly installed, regularly checked and properly maintained. It is up to you to take good care of it!

  • The suspension kit must only be installed on a healthy, strong branch that is sufficiently resistant to support the weight of the swing and its user, as well as the forces generated by swinging.
  • Before installation, carefully check the condition of the branch. Do not install the kit on a dead, cracked, weakened or rotten branch, or on a branch showing any defect that could affect its strength.
  • Both suspension straps must be correctly positioned around the branch and the carabiners must be completely closed before use.
  • The kit must be checked regularly: ropes, stitching, thimbles, carabiners and areas in contact with the branch. At the first sign of any defect that could indicate deterioration, it is advisable to replace the kit.
  • Particular attention must be paid to areas where the rope rubs against the branch. Bark and irregularities in the wood can cause progressive abrasion of the rope.
  • Regularly check that the rope shows no cuts, significant wear, abnormal fraying or localised abrasion.
  • Regularly check the condition of the branch as well. Its condition may change over time due to weather, wind, tree growth or temperature variations.
  • Failure to carry out regular checks may result in the suspension kit presenting a safety risk.
  • The kit is designed for outdoor use. However, to extend its service life, we recommend removing it and storing it in a dry place during the winter period.
  • Do not modify, cut, knot or repair the rope or stitching of the kit.

Supervision

  • Must be used under adult supervision.
  • Before each use, visually check that the suspension straps are correctly positioned and that the carabiners are fully closed.
  • Do not allow children to handle the carabiners, stitching or suspension systems.
  • Do not use the swing if the rope, stitching, carabiner, thimble or branch shows any sign of deterioration.
  • Do not hang directly from the suspension kit outside the normal use of the swing.

What does my suspension kit include?

  • 2 suspension straps made from 12mm double-braided polyester rope, made in France.
  • 2 stainless steel thimbles to protect the rope at the attachment point.
  • 2 stainless steel 140 x 12mm carabiners for attaching the swing.
  • The loops of our suspension kits are made with heavy-duty reinforced stitching. We use the same manufacturing process as for ropes designed for lifting applications. The stitching is then protected to limit its exposure to friction and outdoor conditions.

The suspension kit offers excellent durability outdoors. It can support more than 150 kg.

What are the characteristics of the rope?

  • Double-braided polyester rope, diameter 12mm
  • Made in France
  • Breaking load: 2300 kg per rope
  • Multifilament construction with a textile feel
  • Pre-stretched
  • UV treated
  • Moisture resistant and rot-proof
  • Flexible
  • Excellent long-term outdoor resistance
  • Resistant to prolonged immersion in fresh water or seawater
  • Remains flexible in water
  • Does not float

  • The strength of the rope: material, diameter, anti-UV treatment, strength of the splice

Our ropes are made in France with polypropylene textured (imitation hemp) treated anti-UV diameter Ø12mm or Ø14mm. The splices are made by hand without adding plastic parts.

  • The strength of the seat: material, thickness of the board, finish

The seat is made of solid regional oak wood and consists of three slats so that water can drain when it rains. The boards are 22mm thick and are reinforced by two transverse slats of support, which allows to support several hundred kilos.

  • The strength of mounting accessories (rings and adjustment frames): material, size

The mounting accessories are made of ultra-resistant galvanized steel.

To use them, you only have one thing to do: hang them!

  • Hook to a gantry: Fit the swing rings into gantries of the gantry
  • Hook to a beam: screw two pigtail hooks into the beam with 40cm of gap and then insert the swing rings into the hooks
  • Hook to a tree: Wrap two slings around your branch with 40 cm spacing then attach a snap hook to each loop of the sling. Then, attach the swing rings to each carabiner. (see image below)

For indoor, you can use both. For outdoor, prefer synthetic hemp.

Natural hemp, as its name suggests, is made exclusively from hemp fiber. It is very soft to the touch and does not burn hands with rubbing. It offers an authentic and rustic appearance and emits a slight smell that reinforces its natural effect.

Synthetic hemp is made from textured polypropylene fibres. It has the advantage of being UV-treated and resistant to weather and moisture, which makes it more durable in the long term. Its appearance and touch are a very good imitation of natural hemp.

There are two types of climbing rope: the knot rope and the smooth rope.

The knot rope is easier to climb because the knots provide a hook point and allow you to lean on with your feet, which significantly reduces the pull effort at the arms and shoulders. This rope is recommended for beginners and leisure activities.

The smooth rope is generally used in gyms and gyms by good athletes. The lack of knots makes it more difficult and technical to climb. It will require a lot of effort and allow to work well the arms, shoulders and back.
