Ropes for handrails
Our selection of ropes is available in natural hemp, synthetic hemp, and polyester: three materials that are strong, durable, and easy to maintain.
- Recommended diameters: 26, 28, 32, 36, or 40 mm in hemp, and 30 mm in polyester. Sizes compatible with our end fittings and wall rings.
- Recommended length: allow 10% more than the length of the wall to be covered for an elegant drape.
Fixing accessories
For a secure installation and a neat finish, choose your wall rings, end fittings, or wall mounts according to your staircase configuration (angle, long wall, etc.).
Our recommendations:
- Allow for 1 wall ring every 80 cm.
- Make sure to select the diameter that matches your rope.
- For outdoor staircases, our stainless steel accessories are recommended.

We answer you
For an outdoor railing, we recommend the synthetic hemp rope diameter 26mm, 28mm, 30mm, 36mm, 40mm or 46mm. This rope is rot-proof, moisture resistant and UV treated.
The rope used in the photos below is in diameter 28mm.
For indoor installation, you can use polished hemp rope (natural) or synthetic hemp rope.
Note that the natural hemp rope has a slight odor that fades over time.
For a handrail/stair railing, take a rope of 26mm, 28mm or 30mm.
For a guardrail, take a rope of diameter 28mm, 30mm, 32mm, 36mm, 40mm or 46mm.
Our ropes can be used for star railings, balustrades, mezzanine security or guardrail.
