What is the difference between twisted and combed yarn?

Combed yarn is the ideal yarn for macramé leaves, feathers and fringes. This single strand yarn is the most flexible and soft. It is very easy to comb but easily frays. You can use a stiffening spray to harden your combed cotton yarn creations.

Twisted wire is made of 3 or 4 strands that interlock to form a regular cable and does not fray or only slightly. Twisted cotton can be used for any type of creation thanks to its excellent knot-holding and good stability.

Although they have different characteristics, combed and twisted wires can be used for any type of use. The choice of one or the other depends primarily on your tastes and expectations.
