100 years of expertise
It all began in 1925 on Rue du 18 Mars in Toulouse, in France. André, our great-grandfather, started his business, selling agricultural twines, packaging, tarpaulins, and canvases, visiting his customers across the Grand-Ouest region by bicycle or train. The company later moved to Place Dupuy. Then Jean, our grandfather, expanded the business with custom tarpaulins and awnings for farmers, craftsmen, and local industries. The company became Mansas & Fils — a true family business.
In the 1990s, Jean-Luc and Caroline, our parents, took over. The third generation brought a new era while keeping the same commitments. Rope became the heart of our business. Our expertise grew, refined, and passed down through generations.

In 2015, we, the great-grandchildren, joined the adventure. Our family ropeworks then began its digital transformation, driven by the ambition to offer the finest online collection of ropes. Over the years, our range has grown and diversified to support our customers’ many projects: residential nets, hay nets, nautical ropes, and more.
It is within this momentum that Mansas Macramé was born in 2024, our brand dedicated to threads and accessories for macramé and creative hobbies.
